There are some jobs a transceiver grade receiver just can't do, at least not well. That's where reliable Hamtronics® commercial quality receivers come in! The R313 is our 10th generation vhf fm receiver, and it packs in features you've told us are important to you during our 50 years of designing receivers. It's up to the difficult jobs you've told us you have.
It has very good sensitivity and selectivity. It is ideal for voice operation in repeaters and voice links. Used with our data demodulators, it makes a handy link for computer controlled equipment or a reliable telemetry link in place of expensive phone lines.
The R307 is an offshoot of our popular R303. The difference is the ability to change channels at any time using a dip switch. We program the base frequency for the desired band in the microcontroller, and you select the frequency within the band by setting a dip switch.
The R313 retains all of the popular features Hamtronics® receivers have been noted for. It uses triple-tuned circuits in the front end and excellent crystal and ceramic filters in the i-f with steep skirts for close channel spacing or repeater operation. The i-f selectivity, for instance, is down over 100dB at ±12 kHz away from the carrier, which is 40-50 dB better than most transceivers. Low noise fet's in the front end provide good overload resistance and excellent sensitivity. You won't need a preamp with this receiver!
By careful engineering and economies of scale, we were even able to keep the price about the same as crystal controlled receivers sold for, even several years ago! In fact, you don't need a crystal oven; so it saves you $55 over a comparable crystal controlled unit.
Able to hear weak signals, resistant to intermod, desense, and adjacent channel interference, easy to interface, instant channel frequency setting. Isn't that what you need for your demanding applications?

I just wanted you to know that I'm really impressed with my new R-302 receiver. My 12 year old R-301 is an excellent receiver but the new R-302 pulls stations in loud and clear that were barely a whisper on my R-301. I don't believe there is any receiver out there that can top this one. It seems that you guys took receiver sensitivity to the theoretical limits. ...J. B., Tannersville PA
The R303-2 receiver I ordered and installed is fantastic. Thank you so much for helping me meet my time frame goals by having a new receiver at our repeater site by the date I requested. ...Eugene C. Patrick, NA8I
I'm very impressed with the R303 receiver. Great selectivity (no adjacent channel interference), excellent sensitivity (no white noise), and surprisingly good audio quality. I'm very happy with its performance. Thanks for recommending it....James Bade, Mount Pocono, PA
R313 Factory Built Receivers .... $349.00
(Note: Some retuning is necessary when changing frequencies. Please specify the exact frequency you want to operate on so we can tune the unit for you before shipping.)
Note: The R303 Receiver, which does not use a dip switch costs much less, so consider that if price is an issue. The R313 is hand built to order, not stocked, and the R303 is mass produced; so the R313 carries a higher price.
Narrowband Filter Option: for applications using 2.5kHz deviation instead of 5kHz .... $30.00
